Ginger Potthast, tagged early in life as “so creative”, has always been the go-to person for ideas in her family, with friends, in school and at play. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Advertising from Florida State University, where the program only graduates 60 students a year. Dean’s Listed in all advertising classes, she set forth to land the perfect advertising position in Dallas, only to be greeted with a 1981 recession and constant advice that she needed to get into sales, where she would be a natural. Fighting it all the way, she finally relented and interviewed with a radio station, deciding she could combine her sales ability and advertising degree. Three days into the job, she knew she would never look for another job- she had found a career.

It turned out, that first radio gig really was the start of something great, and after 23 years of amazing success in broadcast sales and management, she determined CHANGE was needed. Within three days, she had decided to start her own advertising agency, came up with the name, a partnership, and created an S Corp. The Idea Factory was born January 4, 2004.

Ginger’s clients are enjoying great success. United Healthcare Texas- Gulf Cost Region has thrived and been recognized as one of the best performing regions in the country. Ginger is bilingual and with experience in the Hispanic community as a Sales Manager, the client list includes several Hispanic focused businesses. Other medical accounts are doing well and the client base also includes two upscale Scotch Pubs.

“Do what you love and love what you do” is Ginger’s mantra and her enthusiasm is contagious. 2009 will be a growth year for the agency as the agency is expected to expand the UHC markets exponentially and The Idea Factory has landed 3 new clients for Q4 2008. She utilizes a team of professionals that includes the very best in their fields of creative, production, web, print and promotions. Pulling in the best and the brightest on an account or project basis saves clients budgets for delivering the message, not paying high overhead. With her broadcast background, Ginger is able to maximize media buys, and consistently garners double or triple Added Value ratios to ad expenditures for her clients.

Dennis Miller, Marketing Strategist, Creative Director for The Idea Factory

 

Dennis Miller’s educational background consists of a degree in fine arts, marketing and design at the The American Academy of Art in Chicago where he was awarded the Ridge Art Association Scholarship and became the first and last student in history of the school to complete six years of courses in two years while maintaining a straight A average.

Dennis’ extensive advertising experience began in Chicago at DDB NeedhamWorldwide, where he was an award winning art director for McDonald’s, Xerox, Arco, Monsanto and other national accounts. Since Needham, Dennis has been a creative director, account supervisor and owner or partner in several Chicago and Houston advertising/design/PR firms.

Dennis has significant experience with consumer, retail, financial, high tech and business-to-business clients as a creative director, account supervisor, media planner, buyer and research analyst. He has created campaigns for numerous accounts that have not only won awards, but also broke records in recall tests, response, and awareness levels. Awards include numerous Addy’s, Art Directors Club Awards, Telly Awards and many others.

Dennis has been actively involved in video / television and radio commercial creative and production, consumer and trade journal ads, record breaking direct mail, web sites / CDs, and qualitative / quantitative market research studies, for many companies, from large to small.
